P.O.K.E.
Protecting Our Kids Environment is a program whose purpose is to assist with the safety of our Tri-State students based on needs identified by the Tri-State communities through meetings with the educational professionals.
We were so excited to be able to grant POKE (Protecting Our Kids Environment) assistance to help some of our local teachers with shredders for their classrooms.
All the elementary and secondary schools in this Tri-State area are serviced by these programs. 6 Elementary schools in BHC, 1 Elementary School in Laughlin, NV 1 Elementary School in Fort Mohave, 6 Elementary Schools in Needles, CA, 3 Elementary schools in Mohave Valley. High Schools in each of the above communities are also served. Recent featured programs included: Providing first aid kits to each of the teachers for their classrooms, Emergency Back Packs for each classroom, and Safety Sleeves utilized during lockdowns. Our current project to assist each of the schools in the Tri-State area is to provide a comfortable stool for an approved monitor, to sit in areas considered hot spots for kids. The intent is to give them a secure feeling and encourage them to use those areas
Thank you to Anderson Ford for sponsoring our POKE Program. We were able to donate 200 door sleeves that will keep classrooms doors locked during an emergency lock down.
We were able to donate dozens of first aid kits with over 350 items in each kit to several classrooms in our elementary school district,
Bennett Elementary School in Laughlin, NV was chosen as this years recipient of 2,000 children's face masks . The office manger Lonie Fisher said they must also supply the school bus drivers with masks for the children. If they don’t have one they cannot get on the bus.
